Shredders are machines used for fine crushing, generally used to process unprocessed raw materials or scraps to make their size smaller. A typical example is shredding plastic or rubber scraps and then using them as raw materials to be melted and granulated for remanufacturing products such as plastic bottles, tires, or trash bins. Shredders are applied in the plastic recycling and regeneration industry, commonly used for breaking down large-diameter PE plastic pipes, bundled plastic films, large stacks of plastic sheets, and machine head materials.
The applications of shredders generally include:
Shredding unqualified products into smaller fragments for recycling.
Reducing the volume of unprocessed raw materials for mixing with other materials.
Shredding organic matter to produce biofuels.
Shredding certain textile materials for fiber reuse, such as carpet crushing.
