Inside the machine, a rotor equipped with 56 blades across four cutting discs is supported by bearing seats on both end covers and rotates at high speed. Solid material particles are subjected to various mechanical forces including compression, tearing, impact, and shearing between the toothed liners inside the cavity and the blades. This process achieves the intended comminution (size reduction).
Additionally, large and small impellers at both ends of the rotor rotate at high speed, creating a vortex effect within the chamber that facilitates the smooth flow of particles from the inlet (where the gap is larger) to the outlet (where the gap is smaller), achieving both grinding and refinement. To prevent excessive temperature buildup, improve efficiency, and avoid particle adhesion or clogging, four wide water jackets around the chamber walls are used for forced water cooling, keeping the internal temperature under control.
